What Is Domestic Violence?
Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior in any relationship that is used by one partner to gain or maintain power and control over another intimate partner. Domestic violence can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, psychological, or technological actions or threats of actions or other patterns of coercive behavior that influence another person within an intimate partner relationship. This includes any behaviors that intimidate, manipulate, humiliate, isolate, frighten, terrorize, coerce, threaten, blame, hurt, injure, or wound someone.

How To Get Help
1. Call 911 and report the abuse immediately, to get HELP, and stop the abuse immediately, and so the Police can help you (kids) document the event.
DON'T STAY, LEAVE WITH THE POLICE
Ask the Police Officer(s) if they can take you to a Domestic Violence Shelter OR the Police Station until you can find alternative housing !!!!
Most Police Departments have (DV) Counselors to help you, don't be afraid and stay in that abusive home or relationship!
